Our B&W facility features 4 large private suites equipped with Ilford 500 Multigrade enlargers with programmable digital timers. Ilford 500s use two light sources and a diffusion chamber for stronger, more even light than traditional condenser heads. Since contrast grade is controlled from the timer keypad, no plastic filters are needed, and split printing becomes a snap. Prints can be made up to 20X24".
Room 4 features a Durst CLS 1840 8X10 enlarger for large format printing or enlarged contacting. The 8X10 can also be set up for any size negative from 35mm to 8X10" for mural printing up to 30"x40" (give or take, depending on neg size).
Our ventilation system pushes a constant flow of conditioned fresh air, providing positive pressure that exceeds guidelines for room changes per hour. Our digitally controlled water tempering system delivers water at 68° to the entire facility.
We require everyone to fully wash all prints to ensure an archival process. The wash area is designed to shorten wait times, and extra-large drying racks leave space for you to dry fiber prints overnight. An Arkay drum dryer is available for fast fiber drying while the RC dryer does 11x14s in seconds.
Our finishing area includes a large heat press, that together with wash/dry time is complimentary. You only pay for time spent printing, and the lab is designed to accommodate all printers from the beginning hobbyist to the deadlined professional. That's the difference you experience at Print Space.
